After a warm welcome to all SYAAT employees for their participation in the event, the presentation of the 1st-semester results and the objectives for the 2nd semester of 2024 were presented by the general manager, José Miguel Bañuelos García.
Additionally, longevity recognitions were awarded to collaborators; this was a moment of great value, as it showed appreciation for their career and contribution, which helps strengthen belonging and a culture of respect within the company. Gift cards were also distributed for participating in various company dynamics, making it a moment of excitement and gratitude.
Subsequently, psychologist Aline Aguilar conducted a mindfulness session, discussing this practice and the importance of applying it daily to lead a balanced life. She delved into topics such as:
- What is mindfulness?
- History of the term.
- Living in the present and Dolce Far Niente: the pleasure of doing nothing.
- Doing nothing is, in reality, doing a lot.
- Some benefits of taking a break from reality.
- What differentiates formal and informal mindfulness practice?
Mindfulness in practice
“It seems that the sages of antiquity (regardless of the country they were born in) left us the possibility to challenge the fast pace of our times. An example of this can be found in Italy, where a unique wellness secret has been passed down from generation to generation: the happiness of doing nothing.
This is not about adopting this philosophy overnight; after all, going from frenzy to calm can be unsettling and make us feel strange. So, the idea is to introduce small moments of serenity into our daily routine. First for a few minutes, to enjoy the present, and then, with time, maybe for an hour. The idea is that we can practice the dolce far niente in an original way, stopping in a street to feel the air and see what surrounds us.” – Aline Aguilar.
Finally, but no less importantly, it was time to enjoy a meal and socialize with colleagues, having a pleasant time with conversations and stories shared in the offices, once again achieving unity within the SYAAT team.
