The leading company in technological solutions, SYAAT, is celebrating! The company received the prestigious Data Foundry Sustainability Certificate. Thanks to its commitment to comprehensive improvement and a better future, including renewable energy, SYAAT demonstrates, once again, its great social and environmental responsibility.
Data Foundry, now called Switch, is the data center where we integrate our SYCLOUD cloud platform and is located in Houston 2 which is Data Foundry’s largest built data center at 350,000 square feet. It has a 60 megawatts capacity to be the premium wholesale and retail colocation, managed services and disaster recovery option for Houston. It has the critical infrastructure, tools, services and personnel necessary for data center compliance with SSAE 18, HIPAA and others.
The Data Foundry Sustainability Certificate specifically recognizes SYAAT’s use of 100% renewable energy. During 2023, SYAAT retired 51 Renewable Energy Credits, ensuring that all of its energy consumption at Data Foundry’s data center facilities was 100% green.
These Renewable Energy Credits operate in compliance with the Greenpeace principles of locality, additionality and sustainability, which refer to the following:
- Locality: promotes local consumption of renewable energy and the decarbonization of the local electricity grid.
- Additionality: increases the installation capacity of new renewable energies.
- Sustainability: meeting present needs without compromising those of future generations, balancing economic, social and environmental aspects.
This is a clear proof of SYAAT’s commitment to protecting the environment and reducing its carbon footprint. The future is green!
