SAP Now AI Tour 2025: Mexico Leads the Conversation on the Real Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Business
This year marked a major milestone for SAP’s flagship event in Mexico. Now in its 14th edition, the conference officially changed its name to include the term “AI”, reflecting the transformative role that this technology has taken on both inside and outside the SAP ecosystem.
During the opening session, Paola Becerra, making her debut as President of SAP Mexico, emphasized that organizations are entering a critical stage of technological evolution.
“Artificial intelligence is reshaping how businesses operate—from process integration to organizational connectivity—everything is shifting toward smarter operations with real business value,” she stated.
She also highlighted the challenges companies are currently facing: economic volatility, evolving regulations, and global disruptions—factors that can be effectively addressed through a strong technology strategy.
At the event, SAP unveiled its Flywheel strategy, described in Spanish as a “virtuous circle.” This model aims to generate continuous momentum through three key pillars:
- Applications managing core business operations
- Data generated from those applications
- Artificial Intelligence, fueled by rich, structured data, delivering agile, integrated, and efficient business responses
The objective is to build a cohesive technology architecture where each component reinforces the others, accelerating value creation across the organization.
A major highlight of the SAP Now AI Tour was the presentation of the report “Motivations and Barriers to AI in Latin American Companies”, which placed Mexico as the leading country in terms of positive perception of AI’s business impact.
Key findings from the study:
- 43% of business leaders in Mexico believe AI is already delivering tangible benefits to their organizations
- 33% recognize its potential and are currently in the planning phase
However, several adoption barriers remain:
- Lack of clarity on how to integrate AI into business processes (34%)
- Shortage of skilled workforce (26%)
- Cybersecurity concerns (21%)
Clase Azul: An Inspiring Case of Digital Transformation
Among the success stories presented, Clase Azul, a renowned Mexican company with more than 20 years in the tequila and mezcal industry, stood out for its artistic craftsmanship and commitment to innovation.
Initially implementing SAP Business One, Clase Azul has since migrated to the cloud using RISE with SAP, also adopting tools such as SuccessFactors. This digital strategy has allowed the brand to scale efficiently in both domestic and international markets.
“Cloud solutions give us the flexibility and speed to adapt in an ever-changing environment. SAP helps us keep our systems light so we can focus on strategy,” said Eugenio Franco, CEO of Clase Azul México.
The company’s next step: exploring SAP Joule and other AI-driven systems to strengthen the synergy between data, technology, and artistic expression.
The event also highlighted the rise of AI agents—solutions like SAP Joule that act as intelligent copilots capable of automating tasks, managing complex operations, and providing real-time strategic insights. These tools are enabling businesses to increase operational efficiency and make faster, more informed decisions.
SYAAT, in collaboration with the Grupo itech consortium, had a strong presence in the exhibition area, where we presented real business cases centered around process transformation using SAP Signavio.
We demonstrated how Signavio empowers organizations to model, analyze, and optimize key processes, enabling data-driven decision-making, enhanced operational efficiency, and an accelerated path toward digital transformation.
Many thanks to all the clients, partners, and attendees who visited our booth to see firsthand how we are helping to transform businesses.
