From documented processes to intelligent processes: SYAAT puts theory into practice at ASUG México 2026
Mexico City, October 22, 2026
On October 22, SYAAT took part in the ASUG México 2026 Annual Conference in Mexico City with a hands-on workshop for SAP users. Titled From Documented Processes to Intelligent Processes, the session took attendees from theory to practice as they worked on real business process improvement cases.
A meeting by SAP users, for SAP users
The Annual Conference of the SAP Users Association in Mexico (ASUG México) has become the country’s leading event created by SAP users, for SAP users. Since 2016, it has brought together companies that share similar challenges and look to technology as the way to achieve their business goals.
ASUG México is a non-profit association. Its mission is to give the SAP ecosystem a space to exchange knowledge, experiences and best practices, with a focus on the reality of Mexican companies. SYAAT is part of its partner community.
The workshop: from theory to practice
The workshop was led by Javier Acuña Molina, [title], and Rodrigo Hernández, [title], both SYAAT specialists. Their starting point was a challenge many organizations share: processes documented in manuals and diagrams that, over time, become static and no longer reflect how the business actually operates.
From there, participants explored the path toward intelligent processes, which rely on data and are measured and continuously improved. Rather than a traditional presentation, the session was hands-on: attendees worked through guided exercises to identify improvement opportunities and bring them into day-to-day operations in SAP.
During the session, SAP Signavio Process Manager was used to simulate the current (AS-IS) performance of a process. This simulation revealed inefficiencies and bottlenecks, which became the basis for designing and simulating the future (TO-BE) scenario and comparing its impact on costs, duration, resource consumption and bottlenecks.
Next, the session explored SAP Joule’s capabilities to model, measure, simulate, analyze and prioritize process findings, with the goal of building a higher-impact action plan.
The workshop welcomed 50 guests, who shared their concerns, current situations and questions about how to bring these tools to their companies, analyze the state of their processes more quickly and address the most critical improvement recommendations.
A notable takeaway was that none of the attendees were aware these tools existed, nor that there are free versions to get started with SAP Signavio, or that they might even be included in their ERP licensing.
With this format, SYAAT reaffirms its expertise in SAP implementations. As an SAP Silver Partner with more than 24 years in the market and part of Grupo iTECH, SYAAT helps companies turn their processes into a competitive advantage.
A space to connect with the SAP ecosystem
Beyond the workshop, the conference was an opportunity to connect with SAP partners, customers and users from different industries. Talking with them lets us learn firsthand about the challenges they face in their operations and share what we have learned in every project.
Our commitment to the community
At SYAAT, we believe knowledge grows when it is shared. That is why we will keep taking part in forums like the ASUG México Annual Conference, where we can contribute our experience in business process improvement and support companies as they evolve with SAP.
We thank ASUG México for the space and everyone who joined the workshop. See you at the next edition.
